The vanilla macaron was invented during the Renaissance by French Queen Catherine de' Medici's Italian pastry chefs. The vanilla macaron is a light airy cookie with a fluffy vanilla buttercream filling.
Raspberry Macaron
The raspberry macaron is made with a light fluffy cookie with a raspberry buttercream and raspberry jam filling. With the flavors from juicy raspberries the raspberry macaron has grown to be one of the top five macarons.
